The object of this challenge is to navigate the esses. For me, this can be quite challenging. The Viper is a powerful car and I need to baby it to keep it under control. Without the MOMO, I could not do this challenge. Timing and speed are critical. Full throttle at the start will get wheel spin, which you need to keep the rpm up. Keep it at full throttle too long, and you get a lot of wheel spin and no acceleration and maybe fish tailling. Let up a little on the throttle, then smoothly get back in the throttle to get max acceleration off the start. Get off the throttle too soon or too long and the engine will really bog down. A fine line for max acceleration and minimum time. I am convinced that the start is critical to geting a good time in this challenge. Get into third gear before the turn and use third gear for the rest of the run. Go through the esses around 90 mph and accelerate on exit to around 100 mph at the finish line. You have to feather the throttle going through the S to maintain speed but not accelerate into a spin. The path through the corners needs to have you coming out of the second corner where you can be gently accelerating until you are going straight again to get back hard on the throttle.
